What is a crypto debit card?

Last reviewed:

A crypto debit card is a payment card linked to a crypto account. When you pay, the provider usually sells some of your crypto and pays the store in regular money. Cards can carry fees and exchange spreads. In the U.S., spending crypto this way can be a taxable sale, even for small purchases.
