How we write and correct our lessons

Last reviewed:

Baskin Logic Crypto Academy is a school for crypto beginners. This page explains how we write our lessons, where our facts come from, and what we do when we get something wrong.

Education only

We teach what things are and how they work. We don't tell anyone what to buy, sell or hold. We don't pick coins, predict prices, show price charts or promise returns. Nothing on this site is investment, tax or legal advice. When a page covers a law or a tax rule, it explains the rule in plain English and points you to the official source.

No paid placements

No company pays us to be named, ranked or linked on this site. We don't run affiliate links, sponsored lessons or paid reviews. When we mention a company, it's because a lesson needs that example. The only thing we sell is access to the Academy itself.

Where our facts come from

Our topic pages list a source under each quick fact, and glossary entries link to the lesson or topic page that covers them. We prefer primary sources: government agencies such as the SEC, FTC, IRS and U.S. Treasury, the official text of a law on Congress.gov, standards bodies such as NIST, and a project's or company's own published documents. When a fact is only a company's own claim, such as what backs its stablecoin, we say so.

How a page is checked

Every page is written in plain English for beginners. Before it goes up, it's checked against our education-only rules: no picks, no prices, no promises, one clear next step and a disclaimer. Pages that name a law or a government agency also get a fact check. Nothing is published until our founder, Joshua Baskin, approves it.

"Last reviewed" dates

Every lesson, topic page and glossary entry shows a "Last reviewed" date. That's the last day we checked the page against its sources. Crypto rules change quickly, so we recheck pages about laws and regulators more often than pages about basic ideas.

Images

Some images on this site are made with AI tools. They illustrate an idea. They never show a real person, a real product or a price.

Corrections

If we get a fact wrong, we fix it. When the change matters to the meaning of a page, we add a short note at the bottom saying what changed and when. We don't quietly rewrite a mistake.

To report an error, email JoshuaBaskin@Baskinlogiccrypto.com with the page link and what you think is wrong. A source helps if you have one. We read every report.
