Fake crypto apps, explained for beginners

Last reviewed:

Fake crypto apps are apps or websites built to look like real wallets or exchanges so they can steal money or keys. Some appear in app stores or search ads. Others are sent by scammers who show fake balances to get bigger deposits. Red flags include a link from a stranger, pressure to deposit and withdrawal fees that keep growing.
