Beginner guide
Is crypto safe for beginners?
An honest look at crypto risk for beginners: price swings, scams, exchange failures and how to protect yourself.
Short answer
Crypto is high-risk. Prices can fall fast, exchanges can fail, and mistakes cannot be undone. Most beginners who lose money lose it to scams. Learning the safety basics first removes most of that risk.
Common questions
Should I put my savings into crypto?
We do not give investment advice. Many people never risk money they need for rent, food or emergencies.
Is crypto insured?
Usually not. Bank deposit insurance does not cover crypto.
What protects me most?
Strong 2FA, a written-down seed phrase, registered exchanges and saying no to anyone who rushes you.
Where can I practise safely?
Our paper-trading game uses pretend money.
