What is USDC?

Last reviewed:

USDC is a stablecoin issued by a company named Circle. It is designed to stay worth one U.S. dollar, backed by reserves such as cash and short-term U.S. government debt. Circle publishes regular reports on those reserves. Like any stablecoin, USDC depends on its issuer and is not the same as a bank deposit.
