Send money with crypto, explained for beginners

Last reviewed:

A crypto remittance is money sent to family or friends in another country using crypto, often a stablecoin, instead of a bank wire or money-transfer shop. It can arrive in minutes. But the receiver still needs a safe way to turn it into local money, and fees, exchange rates, local rules and scams can all reduce what actually arrives.
