What is the CLARITY act?

The CLARITY Act, full name the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R. 3633), is a U.S. measure about the wider crypto market. It aims to spell out when a digital asset is overseen by the SEC and when by the CFTC. It passed the House in July 2025. It is separate from the GENIUS Act. Check Congress.gov for its current status.
