Crypto fee and network checker

Last reviewed:

Before you send crypto, check three things: how much of the send goes to fees, whether the address looks right, and whether you picked the network the receiver uses. Everything stays on this page. Nothing is saved or sent, and no prices are fetched.

Sends cannot be undone. A wrong address or the wrong network can lose the funds for good. Send a small test amount first when you can.

Fill in any of the boxes to see the check.

What this checks, and what it cannot

  • Fee share. Fees are often close to a fixed cost per send, so a small send loses a bigger share. Seeing the percent helps you notice.
  • Address shape. Bitcoin addresses usually start with bc1, 1 or 3. Ethereum-style addresses start with 0x and have 40 more characters. Tron addresses start with T. A right shape does not prove the address belongs to the right person.
  • Network match. The same 0x address format is used on Ethereum and many other networks. Only the receiver can tell you which network their wallet or exchange accepts.
  • Look-alike addresses. Scammers send tiny amounts from addresses that start and end like yours, hoping you copy theirs from your history. Read more in What is address poisoning?
