Dollar-cost averaging (DCA) simulator
- Key takeaway 1

How it works
Dollar-cost averaging means investing the same amount at regular intervals. A fixed amount buys more units when the price is low and fewer when it is high, so your average cost per unit equals the harmonic mean of the prices, which is never above their simple average. DCA does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss.
